A lot of the images I've uploaded lately have been of cards I'm painting for my friends' birthdays. :)   Most of my traditional painting work seems to be for these cards, which is nice because it's great fun!  It gives me a reason to create nice little unique images on a surprisingly regular basis.  I've forgotten to take photos of quite a few of them, unfortunately :S Anyway, a couple of people have said I should make these cards to sell.  I'd love to, but I'm just not sure if there's much demand for slightly creepy forest scenes in silhouette ;) at least not for birthday cards, haha!  Maybe around hallowe'en? So, anyone who reads this, w

So very busy...But still painting and doodling a bit here and there :) Found my bottle of indian ink, so the painted cards I've been making now look a lot crisper and richer.  :D This makes me happy. I keep thinking I'll paint something bigger than just birthday cards in this style, too.  It'd probably work well.

Looking at the stuff I've drawn lately aaaaand... I'm starting to think I was right when I always told people 'I'm not an artist, I just like drawing'. I'm pleased with the improvements to my technique over the last few months, but really - as complete images, my drawings are entirely underwhelming.   I should work on that.
